Built because the alternative is unacceptable.
Built from frustration with the alternative
I had assets spread across multiple brokerage accounts, bank accounts, and other personal holdings — and no clean way to see it all in one place. Apps that could aggregate it required linking your actual accounts. After watching the pace of data breaches accelerate, that was a non-starter. I wasn't willing to give any platform the keys to log into my brokerage and move my money. So I built an approach that doesn't need them.
Built because I stopped paying attention
I held onto a few positions way too long — not because the companies necessarily did poorly, but because I simply lost track of them. No single view of everything I owned meant no early warning when something needed my attention. Daily dispatches exist so that never happens again — a habit I don't have to remember to keep.

Once the vault was solved, I wanted something that actually talked to me about my assets. Every other tool shows you numbers — but not the why. I didn't want "AAPL is down 2%." I wanted the actual chain of reasoning underneath it — a memory chip shortage, margin pressure, and the resulting drop, connected. I wanted a personal financial analyst who already knew my holdings and could surface what mattered, when it mattered.
